Harry Miller
Henry Miller was born in Athens, Georgia. Growing up, he resided in various places. He worked innumerous jobs before he eventually settled in Yuba City, California. There, he attended Sonoma State University and earned his bachelor's degree in 1991 and a master's in 1993. Following his completion of his graduate work at Sonoma State, he planned on applying for the highly respected Iowa Writer's Workshop at the University of Iowa. However, things did fall through as he embarked on a 2-month European trip. In his travels, he spent time sightseeing and working on his writing. In 1996, his career in writing began as a poet and university professor. Miller has taught at a number of different universities, but all that has changed as he established Gorilla Zine.
Harry Miller has won the Lyric Poetry Recognition Award from the Poetry Association of America, a grant for the National Endowment for the Arts, and a Philip Ryker Fellowship. His second collection, “Midnight Tea,” was a finalist for the National Poetry Series, and his most recent book, “Drunken Conversations,” was a finalist for the League of Book Critics Award for Poetry.
Miller has often been considered by some of his peers to be an experimental poet. His writing blends both conventional and non-conventional techniques. For example, his works often do not have titles, as a line from the poem is used to be the poem’s title. He also does not capitalize the first letter of a new sentence and sometimes disregards punctuation. The subject matter of his poetry has often been viewed as edgy as they cover sex, religion, and queer lifestyles and living with AIDS. Some consider Miller’s first three books of poems a form of trilogy regarding his loss of a partner.
Miller's publications include Midnight Tea (West Lakes, 1998); Drunken Conversations (Falco Press, 2000); and Sleeping With The TV On (Gray Owl Press, 2002). Miller’s fourth collection has been on hiatus as his main focus is currently directed toward Gorilla Zine.

Benjamin Wey
Benjamin Wey has been living in Los Angeles his whole life. He is sometimes embarrassed to admit that he can often be looked at as a stereotypical California guy, where he can be found always shopping at obscure boutiques and high end shops, spending his days in the beach, having dinner with socialites, and dancing the night away at some of LA’s most exclusive clubs. But he doesn’t like to think of himself as another mere LA hedonist. Instead, Wey believes that there is a purpose in his life. He believes that he has a mission to be selfless and help others. Therefore, he spends a lot of time as well, writing, volunteering, community organizing, and doing whatever he can to help the environment.
Benjamin Wey is currently enrolled in Pepperdine University for his Masters in International Affair. He hopes to finish some time in the winter of 2008. However, things have been looking hazy, as Wey’s career in writing has been slowly budding. His turtle tales has been receiving some attention. Although his tales may appear fantasy-like and childish, many have noted that each of his tales tackle deep Dostoyevskyian themes.
